1. This video taught me that music is effective because it helps people think and stirs the soul, music helps people learn and remember things. Psalms help people remember God and find/ connect our feelings with him. 2. One third of the whole Bible is poetry. 3.Psalm is the Greek word for song. 4.God put poetry in the Bible to help us feel because he knows it is the most effective way to feel about a situation it's how we express how we feel about God or how we think about Him. God did this so we could easily remember things. 5. Three biblical people who used song were Miriam (who sang once they crossed the Red Sea out of Egypt), Moses (who sung a blessing over his people before he died), and King David (who appointed some of the Levites to praise the Lord). 6. See answer above. 7. Three things a person who is happy should not do is walk in the council of the wicked (meaning they does not absorb their wickedness), or stand way of sinners (doesn't move into the path of sin), or sit in the seat of the scoffers (does not make fun of everyone else after choosing his or her own path). 8. The sinners may be considered the "troublemakers" at SCA and the scoffers may be considered the "poplars". 9. The author of Psalms 1 uses a path to illustrate moving forward step by step to lead to a destination. 10. In verse 2 there are _ ways to be happy. They delight in reading and meditating on the Bible day and night. 11. The blessings and benefits of studying and meditating on God's word are 12.When Ben speaks of the outlaw he means that if you take though little steps toward a dark path even if you are not bad and you are just going along with it your fate is still the same as if you were a part of it. 13. Little steps can lead you far on a dark path and sometimes there is no way out. These little steps can ruin lives by turning loved ones away and separating them from who we could have been had we stayed on the right path. 14.Little compromises are little areas where you could have sorted something out or done something and you did a half job, you kind of settled an argument but it is still there boiling for another day or you compromise to laziness and only do half of what you are supposed to do. Compromises can also be sacrifices that people make that could be like small steps leading you to a bad goal. 15. Happiness is defined by the steps you take and the destination that those steps will take you. 16. The two ways a parent can ruin a kid are giving the kid a bunch of rules to the point of taking away their freedom, the second way is giving them no structure or boundaries. 17. The Bible provides structure for young people by telling them how to live and what to do or not do. 18. He means that the words in the Bible have a structure and rhythm that is easy for us to remember to hear and accept. It also fits reality and how everything works and helps people flourish. 19. There are different blessings a person who reads meditates and obeys God's word. These blessings are successful and persevering people. 20. The thing that is preventing SCA students from getting these blessings is that things keep piling on getting harder to handle for some and then these things can keep us from time with God because people put this first for success. 21. Through hardships people remain strong with their faith to guide them. They trust that God has a plan and that there are things out of our control that God will need to take care of. 22. The wicked are like chaff (the dead husk on a grain) this is appropriate because it is completely opposite to the tree it is withered and dead while the tree moves on and grows. Either people are planted in good soil and get the benefits of that, salt where they wither or nothing where the person doesn't care. 23. One path in life is righteousness and fruitfulness and the other is a bare empty path filled with disconnection.
